I’ve been looking for festive fall coffee drinks I can make at home and this one is an easy, tasty discovery. I accidentally discovered that maple syrup mixes quite well into cold drinks so it works great here as a latte flavor and sweetener. Added bonus- a similar, refined-sugar version at a coffee shop would cost $4-$6.
Espresso or coffee concentrate*
Choice of dairy or non-dairy milk
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tsp pure maple syrup
*coffee concentrate can be purchased at most local markets, or made at home. Go here for a recipe for espresso using an inexpensive moka pot. Or here for a recipe for diy coffee concentrate with a french press.
Combine all ingredients except ice and stir to dissolve maple syrup.
Add ice and enjoy!
